mmmm one day I was thinking about how to romanize my characters’ names into chinese; from what I’ve noticed, characters with names of foreign origin get their names condensed into two characters. idk so i decided to give it a shot, though idk if it sounds alright or not since i am so americanized
i picked the characters 縟麗 to make it ‘Ru-Li’ (ru - adorned, li as in beautiful) ….but it doesn’t make a lot of sense @_@ i wanted the words to express the kind of character he has but idk maybe 縟力 (li for energy) or 縟酈 (because the Li here is the kind you use for a name) would be better. ~dilemmas~

the Tu family from one of my stories, witch hunt :V the character for the last name tu in chinese is something different, but in the case of this family it’s ‘rabbit’ (兔)
from left to right:
- Peter - the main character, around 16 years old. half chinese, half german-american. He’s a very meek and shy guy who just tags along behind his crew of outcast friends and does whatever they say. He’s kinda tall but not gangly. he is based off of my halloween cybunny tumex (also the reason why his last name is tu)
- Margaret- minor secondary character. Peter’s little sister; around 12 or 13 in middle school. she is peter’s complete opposite and is very sarcastic and sassy. Full of ambition and perseverance. very pretty, and popular in school, too.
- papa tu - didn’t really make up a proper name for him… in any case, papa tu is a fob who loves his children dearly. Because he’s a single parent whose wife divorced him, he works extra hard at his job as an owner of a chinese restaurant to make ends meet. Both of the kids work as part time waiters/waitresses in the restaurant. He’s very cheerful and likes to speak in broken chinglish to his kids. he’s kind of a gag character hence the bad art whoooops sorry dad!! (i made you such a stereotype omg haha I’m terrible)
this has been sitting in my folder for a while, so I finished it today because I am artblocking and need to get back into the habit of painting. It’s Diana from Rule of Rose!!! i’ll never get tired of making fanart for that game
the Mermaid Princess was one of my favorite chapters; it’s so vague and has so many different interpretations! plus Diana is my favorite orphan so yep
i cheated with the colors though nyehehehe it started off as an accident but i thought it looked better this way

- 17 years old
- has a very athletic, lithe body; good at doing strenuous physical activity of all sorts. Around 5’3”, 105-ish lbs
- also very adept at doing housework and cooking
- weapon is a sword
- illiterate, but not stupid. fairly mature for her age, and thoughtful; tends to be optimistic and cheerful no matter what the situation. She knows how to work hard and always manages to get her tasks done. Very encouraging to others, but can be extremely annoying after a while (in other words, she’s like a mother, sort of…) Can be playful and goofy as well.

Verse, the antagonist of my story Aporia. I redid her entire design and I haven’t quite decided her outfit colors as of yet but this’ll do for now.

- 21 years old
- she’s super duper tiny; about 5’1” and weighs around 90lbs?? or less
- has a baby face that doesn’t age; also a very child-like body ehehehe
- despite her young appearance, she gives off a lot of charisma (ngl, I slightly based her off of namie amuro/toshiko koshijima lmao)
- vebren’s half-sister (same mother, different fathers)
- she is very hardworking and persistent; she sets her eyes on a goal and never deviates from it. rarely ever doubts herself
- her childish appearance often leads to many people not taking her seriously or underestimating her, which she hates and tries very hard to overcome
- she puts on a strong front in order to be a good leader to her subordinates and followers, but she suffers from ptsd and depression and oftens cries by herself in secret (sounds like some mary sue stuff but IT IS PART OF THE STORY OKAY…)
